DUBWATH SILVER MEADOWS-CUMBRIA

This morning, Jenna and I visited Cumbria to attend an organised moth event at Dubwath Silver Meadows, where we were able to add several species to our life lists.

We were fortunate that the event followed a night of heavy rain, as the damp conditions seemed to bring out a wide variety of moths. Among the species trapped overnight, a remarkable selection was on display:

Poplar Hawk-moth

Swallow Prominent
Centre-barred Sallow
Angle Shades
Snout
Frosted Orange
Rosy Rustic
Purple Thorn
Canary-shouldered Thorn
The Sallow
The Sallow
Heath Rustic
