BIRDING BREAK NORFOLK DAY 3

I spent the afternoon birding at Cley today as I wanted to try and find the Smew that had been reported. Parking up at Arnolds Marsh and walking towards the coast, I found the bird on one of the back pools.

Redhead Smew

Other birds of note were Avocet, Pintail and Marsh Harrier.

The reserve was very quiet in general, but I did add Stonechat and Egyptian Goose before the heavens opened.

After a good walk around the reserve, I headed for the Dun Cow in Salthouse for my tea and a few pints of real ale.
