I visited Chelford Sand Quarries this afternoon, a site I haven’t been to for some time due to working nights. It was good to be back, and the visit proved worthwhile with a nice selection of birds recorded across the complex. Conditions were favourable, allowing for prolonged views and plenty of photographic opportunities.
Several species showed well, and several birds were obliging enough to be captured on camera, adding extra value to the visit. Overall, it was an enjoyable return to a familiar site and a timely reminder of how productive Chelford can be when you get the chance to spend an afternoon there.
