News came through this morning that a Night heron had been found at Sandbach flashes.Having missed the Leasowe bird back in 2014 has I was on hoilday this would be a welcome addition to my Cheshire and Wirral lifelist.On arrival I met up with some familiar faces and got on the bird straight away roosting in some bushes.
There has been good numbers of sightings of this species this year in Britain and Ireland as you can see from the map below so I was glad Cheshire had joined in with the recent run of this species,this was the 10th record for Cheshire and Wirral.
