IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF-THURSTASTON HILL-WIRRAL

Another Iberian Chiffchaff was found on the North Wirral coast at the beginning of May and has been present all month. This record is the third for Cheshire and Wirral; the last one was found in Delamere Forest last year. I visited the site today and could hear the bird in full song as soon as I arrived. The bird was favouring an oak tree in a clearing and eventually showed really well.

This was my third Iberian Chiffchaff for Cheshire and Wirral, and another great bird for the Wirral peninsula.
