I had just got up this afternoon after a night duty when Allan conlin texted me to say a Cattle Egret had been found at Burton RSPB.I soon made my way there as I only live 15 minutes away and made my way to the old Inner marsh farm hide.The Cattle egret was soon picked up weaving in and out of the sheep on the far side of the pool.

I just made it to the hide before the heavens opened.Other birds of note were 7 Curlew sandpiper,16 Dunlin but there was no sign of the Little stint.
