SNOW BUNTING-LEASOWE BAY

I visited Leasowe this afternoon hoping to see a Snow bunting that had been found by local birder Allan Conlin on wednesday. The weather was blowing a hoolie when I arrived but it didn't take long to locate the bird perched up on a tree stump.

The Snow bunting was very confiding and showed really well throughout my stay.I think these are great little birds and they have become annual on the north wirral coast over the last ten years.
Seeing the storm clouds heading towards me I headed back to the car just escaping another hail shower.
