News broke this morning that two Russian White-fronted Geese were with a mixed goose flock in a field west of M56, viewed from Thornton Green Lane, Wimbolds Trafford. I made my way there, and it didn't take long to relocate the geese with pink-footed geese.
After good views of the two geese, I moved on to Delamere Forest to have a look for some Common Crossbills. No birds were seen after a good few hours of searching, but a treecreeper showed well, and 7 goosanders were on Blakemere Moss. #LOCALBIGYEAR
