SAVE STAMPS TO HELP ALBATROSSES

The RSPB’s Save Your Stamps appeal, which made more than £20,000 last year, encourages people to save postage stamps from their Christmas post and donate them to the charity to raise money for its Save the Albatross campaign. Albatrosses are facing a range of threats to their survival, with two-thirds of the family’s species in danger of extinction. The main threat is death on a hook at the end of a fishing longline. It’s estimated that around 100,000 albatrosses are killed each year by longline and trawler fishing vessels.CLICK ON LINK
