I visited Leasowe this afternoon, hoping to see a snow bunting that had been found by local birder Allan Conlin on Wednesday. The weather was blowing a hoolie when I arrived, but it didn't take long to locate the bird perched up on a tree stump.

The snow bunting was very confiding and showed really well throughout my stay. I think these are great little birds, and they have become annual on the northwestern coast over the last ten years.
Seeing the storm clouds heading towards me, I headed back to the car, just escaping another hail shower.
