Oct 22
5 Whooper Swan over heading south - Thurstaston.
13 Cattle Egret and 1 Great Egret, several thousand Pink-footed Geese over - Burton Mere Wetlands. 
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) and 2 Great Egret - Parkgate.

Oct 21
1 Swift over this afternoon - Meols.
1 Hen Harrier (grey male), 2 Marsh Harrier and 1 Merlin - Parkgate.
600+ Sanderling both today and yesterday - Hoylake Shore.

Oct 20
2 Swallow over West Kirby Shore.
13 Cattle Egret - another record high, also 1 Great Egret - Burton Mere Wetlands. 

Oct 19
1 Short-eared Owl - Gronant.
1 Short-eared Owl flushed from Middle Eye.
1 Hen Harrier (grey male) - Parkgate.
8 Cattle Egret - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Jack Snipe and 1 Stonechat - Red Rocks Marsh.

Oct 18
1 Ring Ouzel in sea-front garden (trapped for ringing but escaped!) - Hoylake.
1 Hen Harrier (grey male) - Parkgate.
52 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 6500 Shelduck, 6 Red-breasted Merganser, 1 redhead Goosander, 3 Great Egret, 1 Jack Snipe, 1 Short-eared Owl (nice fly past), over high tide - Riverbank Road, Heswall.

Oct 17
1 Short-eared Owl - Gronant.
5 Egyptian Geese in field between Seabank and Riverbank Roads this morning - Heswall.
1 Yellow-browed Warbler on edge of Hooton Station car park.
1 Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Short-eared Owl, 1 Great Egret and 1 Cattle Egret  - Burton Mere Wetlands.
 
Oct 16
1 Ruddy Shelduck - Burton Marsh.
6 Egyptian Geese in field between Seabank and Riverbank Roads this morning - Heswall.
25 Siskin and 16 Whooper Swan flying east - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Short-eared Owl over golf course - Red Rocks.
1 Hen Harrier (grey male), 2+ Marsh Harrier, 5+ Great Egret and 1 Peregrine - Parkgate.
500 Pinkfooted Geese, 22 Pale-bellied Brent, 6 Egyptian Geese, 5800 Shelduck, 500 Pintail, 250 Wigeon, 7 Red-breasted Merganser, 4 Great Egret, 950 Curlew, 1 Merlin, 3 Marsh Harrier, 200+ Jackdaw over high tide - Riverbank Road, Heswall.
2 Cetti's Warbler and 5 Raven - Neston Old Quay.

Oct 15
Hundreds of Jackdaws over Pinfold Lane, West Kirby.
170 Chaffinch, 40 Greenfinch, 2 Brambling, 20 Redwing, 25 Siskin, 14 Skylark and 2 Snipe over east,  200 Golden Plover over north east, 1 Cetti's Warbler by Nature Trail, 1 Yellow Wagtail on roof top by Kerr's Field, 1 juv Peregrine on top of lighthouse - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Marsh Harrier (fem) and 2 Hen Harrier (male and fem) - Parkgate.
1 Little Stint, 3 Greenshank and 61 Golden Plover - Heswall Shore.
6,100 Pink-footed Geese flew into roost this evening - Burton Point.
580 Shelduck - Tansky Rocks.
257 Brent Geese, 610 Sanderling, 330 Curlew, 1 Peregrine and 1 Raven on rising tide - Hilbre.

Oct 14
40 Redwing, 90 Fieldfare and 70 Woodpigeon over in 30 minutes early morning - Lower Heswall.
1,000 Fieldfare, 40 Mistle Thrush, 500 Redwing and 25 Song Thrush mostly heading east, also 1 Cetti's Warbler by nature trail - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Richard's Pipit over west (heard not seen) - Hoylake.
10 Great Egret beyond Donkeystand Flash, Parkgate.
6 Red-throated Diver, 22 Great Crested Grebe, 250 Common Scoter, 3 Red-breasted Merganser, 180+ Brent Geese, 21 Skylark with many Redwing & Blackbirds overhead pre-dawn - Hilbre.

Oct 13
16 Whooper Swan over high towards Burton, also 1,000 Wigeon this morning, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) this afternoon - Denhall Quay.
3 Raven over Meols Shore.
Up 300 Jackdaw, 1 Peregrine and large flock of Pink-footed Geese - Burton Marsh.
269 Brent Geese, 888 Shelduck, 20 Wigeon, 65 Grey Plover, 45 Ringed Plover, 325 Cormorant flew out of the estuary, 110 Linnet and 10 Twite- Hilbre.
1 Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Great Egret and 3 Cattle Egret  - Burton Mere Wetlands.
